Cardigan. Although you are traveling during the very warm summer months, a cardigan will definitely come in handy. The temperature during the day may be in the 90’s, but as the sun sets, the temperature may dip into the low 70’s. A cardigan provides light warmth during cool nights.
Flip-Flops. Heeled sandals and stilettos may be on your list of shoes to pack, but remember to give your feet a break as well. Many tend to think of flip-flops as a boring sandal, but that’s far from the truth. Many stores such as Steve Madden, Nordstrom, and Aldo offer fashionable flip-flops at affordable prices.
Nail polish. You can never go wrong with a clean manicure before you travel. However, what if your polish chips? Always carry at least one jar of nail polish in your purse. Neutral colors such as light pinks, can be worn both dressy and casual outfits.
Sunglasses. Most likely wherever you are traveling to, the sun will follow. Sunglasses are a very simple way to add edge to whatever outfit you wear, and are especially welcomed when laying out at the beach or pool.
Headband. Managing your hair during the summer may seem like an on-going battle between your flat iron and the humidity. Pack a few headbands (different styles and colors) to add flare to your outfit. If you have bangs, wearing a headband is a great way to avoid sweaty looking bangs in your face. For a quick fix, after washing your hair, add some gel, throw on your headband and go!
Traveling can be extremely overrated—especially during the summer months. It isn’t uncommon for the months from June through August to be one of the busiest times to travel. Whether you are taking a cruise to the Bahamas, weekend spa getaway or attending your best friend’s destination wedding; traveling can be a hassle. It’s not always planning the trip that gets to be stressful, but deciding what clothes are staying home in your closet, and which ones have the honor of being toted around in your weekender bag!
Packing is probably one of the most difficult things for a woman to do, so as a result, we tend to over pack—about 2 weeks’ worth extra of clothes. After all, what woman wants to pick and choose when she can just pack it all? The saying holds true: A woman’s gotta have her options! However, over packing is becoming less of an option these days at the airport. Many airlines are charging customers big money to check-in their luggage; not to mention the hefty fee you must pay if your bag weighs over 50 lbs. With that being said, the lavish days of packing a suitcase specifically for your shoes may be coming to an end. However, there is a way to travel with just one suitcase and still have everything you need to be the fashionista that you are!

Summer Scarf. A summer scarf is one of the most universal items you can bring along on your trip! Whether worn as a scarf, headband, belt, or bikini cover-up, a summer scarf can be used many different ways is definitely a “must-pack” for your trip.
Black Dress. We’ve all heard that every woman should own a little black dress—well it’s true! A black dress can be both flirty and formal looking (a colored cardigan would be a perfect pair); be sure that the dress is not too formal or too flirty, but can be worn in either environment if needed.
Wedge Sandals. Now that you’ve already packed your fashionable flip-flops, you can pack your wedged sandals. It is important to give your feet a break (as mentioned earlier), but wedges are the perfect answer to both fashion and comfort. Wedges can be worn with jeans or dress.

Jeans. A woman should never travel without her staple garment; a good pair of jeans. Pack a pair of jeans that can be worn to a casual lunch or flirty mixer. A dark washed denim would work best.
Large Accessory. Big is better right? Well when it comes to accessories this season, yes! A large accessory will really make an outfit pop and appear well put together. Think of accessories like earrings, bracelets, necklaces, handbags, broaches, and rings. Wearing just one large accessory will do the job, but it is possible to wear two—make sure they don’t clash. For example, a good way to wear two large accessories would be a large ring and handbag. Avoid clashes like a large necklace and earrings.
